Just what I say! I wonder if the lights could be dimmed? Maybe we could stack books in the middle of the tables like they did at LeakyCon. It was very...wizardry-looking.

I have the Hootenclaw banner I made for Year One that can either go in here (if the Hoots want it there) or in another room/area. If we want, I am willing to make the same style of banner for the other three Houses, but I'm sure the students will want to create their own.

I have a nice barrister bookcase we can use for a trophy display, if we want to mess with hauling it. It has four shelves protected by wood-framed glass doors, and could display a nice variety of small and medium sized trophies, certificates, Hoggstowne artifacts (like the Hoot brooch or Warren's keys), and such.

That may be just the thing. If it doesn't fit in the Common Room, we can put it in the Great Hall.

I have a question.
Are we still open to the idea to have individual common rooms, if the houses themselves pay for the room?

Re: Pics of the Common Room
This was addressed on the FB page where you also asked it, but I'll post the answer here as well just for keeping track of what's been answered:
What houses choose to spend their own money to do is up to them. So, yes, if a house wants to pitch in to get an extra room or pay full price for a suite to use as their own common room that's a personal choice. However, there are a few things to keep in mind:
1. As house head if you choose to bunk down in that room you're only getting your portion of a REGULAR room, not a suite rate or a non-discounted room rate.
2. House room rentals are on the individuals/house - AEC and the HT event will have NO official sanction of that space and we will assume NO liability for that space.
3. Additionally, if we have a "common space" competition this year that would only refer to the SHARED common room, not an additional rented space.
